Montréal Sous la Neige

Many folks are sick of snow and ice right now, but in the right place at the right time they can wreak a magical transformation on an otherwise mundane scene.  Two years ago, while attending the Folk Alliance International conference in Montreal, this Provinciapolitan was lucky enough to experience that city under a fresh, thick bed of snow.  Here are a few of the photos that sought to capture just a smidgen of its magic.
